Top Healthcare-Focused
Super Bowl Ads of 2025
As healthcare marketers, Maricich Health recognizes the bold and innovative campaigns that took the stage during Super Bowl LIX to highlight critical health topics. The Super Bowl offers an unparalleled platform for reaching millions of viewers, and this year’s top healthcare-focused ads did not disappoint. From championing early cancer detection to tackling systemic health challenges, these ads delivered powerful messages that resonated with audiences nationwide.
Here’s our analysis of the top healthcare Super Bowl ads of 2025:
- Novartis: “Attention Now” Featuring Hailee Steinfeld and Wanda Sykes
Novartis made a groundbreaking impact with its Super Bowl LIX spot, Attention Now. Featuring Hailee Steinfeld and Wanda Sykes, the ad tackled an urgent health issue—breast cancer screenings—with humor and sensitivity. The campaign called attention to the growing number of women skipping mammograms, using the Super Bowl’s massive platform to normalize the conversation around early detection.
With a direct call-to-action, Novartis directed viewers to YourAttentionPlease.com, where they can take a quiz and find resources for early screenings. This well-crafted campaign combines artistry and purpose to save lives by driving action.
Maricich Health applauds Novartis for its bold approach to removing the stigma around screenings. As part of our own recent efforts to advance early detection, we launched the “Screening is About Life, Not Cancer” campaign with CalOptima Health, encouraging screenings for breast, cervical, lung, and colon cancer. Novartis’ ad aligns with our shared goal of making preventive care an everyday conversation.

- Hims & Hers: “Sick of the System” Featuring Song by Childish Gambino
Hims & Hers took an edgy and provocative approach to addressing obesity in America with Sick of the System. This fast-paced, visually engaging ad used a mix of vibrant imagery—Slurpee cups, greasy burgers, and busy streets—to highlight the disconnect between America’s obesity epidemic and access to affordable, effective treatment.
With Childish Gambino’s powerful soundtrack driving the tempo, the ad invited viewers to rethink the weight-loss industry. Hims & Hers highlighted its mission to make weight-loss medications both affordable and accessible through its innovative telehealth services.
This campaign’s timing was brilliant—airing immediately after one of the most indulgent food days of the year, Super Bowl Sunday. The relatable and visually compelling spot challenges the stigma around weight-loss treatments while inspiring people to take control of their health.
Although we are highlighting this ad from a purely creative standpoint, this ad has certainly become controversial. It has drawn sharp criticism from lawmakers, pharmaceutical lobbyists, and regulators over what they consider misleading claims about the safety and efficacy of compounded weight-loss medications. Groups like the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) criticized the ad as misleading, while others, such as the Partnership for Safe Medicines, called the ad “dangerous” for omitting critical risk information. Despite these concerns, Hims & Hers has defended the campaign, citing the importance of awareness and accessibility. - NYU Langone Medical Center: “Football Team” Featuring Victor Cruz
NYU Langone Health claimed its spot as a national leader in healthcare with its Super Bowl ad, Football Team. Featuring former New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz, the ad skillfully drew parallels between the teamwork required for sports and the collaboration that drives excellence in healthcare.
With over 4,500 physicians and 50,000 employees, NYU Langone highlighted its commitment to delivering the highest-quality care. Of course, with such a large team, not every physician or staff member can physically appear in the spot. However, NYU Langone handled this challenge masterfully by ensuring the ad represented the entire organization’s values and culture, rather than just individual participants.
The ad successfully celebrated NYU Langone’s team spirit and dedication to better health outcomes, resonating with viewers across the country. Maricich Health recognizes NYU Langone’s boldness in leveraging the Super Bowl to cement its leadership position.
Maricich has firsthand experience creating impactful Super Bowl campaigns for healthcare, including our “Healthy Driven” campaign for Edward-Elmhurst Health, which featured Danica Patrick. Like NYU Langone, we know the power of using sports to inspire and connect with audiences.
